Zodiac, founded in 1882 by Ariste Calame in Le Locle, Switzerland, has a rich history of producing innovative and reliable timepieces. The brand gained prominence in the mid-20th century with the introduction of its Sea Wolf diver's watch in 1953, one of the first purpose-built dive watches. Notes

Dating from the 1970s, This Zodiac is in well-preserved pre-owned condition. Unique for its lengthier time to move around dial. Meaning, the hour hand on this watch completes one full rotation of the dial every 24 hours, rather than the typical 12 hours. The stainless steel case shows light surface wear consistent with its age. The case retains its original finishes, with minor scratches visible upon close inspection. The lugs are sharp and well-defined, maintaining the integrity of the case structure. The stamped case back features the iconic Zodiac fish logo, while its crown sits stamped with the brands Zodiac symbol. Its white dial is in excellent condition, displaying a 24-hour scale with alternating black and red numerals. Its black hands are well-preserved and contrast nicely against the dial. The tritium lume dots on the hour markers remain strong, adding a vintage charm to the watch while still being functional in low-light conditions. Its plastic crystal remains free of any significant damage such as cracks or deep scratches. Overall, this Zodiac Hermetic Aerospace Jet is a fine example of vintage tool watch design, particularly suited for aviation and travel purposes with its unique 24-hour complication. Please note that this watch does not come with its original box or papers.
