Rolex, founded in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis in London, England, later moved to Geneva, Switzerland in 1919. The company has been at the forefront of watchmaking innovation, particularly known for its Oyster case and Perpetual rotor self-winding mechanism. The Submariner, introduced in 1953, revolutionized the dive watch category and has since become an icon of horological design. Known for its robust construction, water resistance, and timeless aesthetic, the Submariner has transcended its utilitarian origins to become one of the most recognizable and coveted luxury sports watches in the world.

Notes
This Rolex Submariner features a 40mm steel case that sits in overall good condition. Its black dial is clean, with applied lumed hour markers, lumed hands, and a magnified date window at 3 o’clock. The watch is powered by an automatic movement and is fitted with its Rolex steel bracelet and clasp. We have noticed that the lugs and bracelet have experienced some minimal material loss due to typical wear and rubbing of the bracelet against the lugs themselves. Additionally, the 7 o’clock placed lug has some very minor dings to its edge upon close inspection. There is a small, hardly visible, indentation on the 6 o'clock end link. The bracelet itself contains a total of 10 links. Overall, this Submariner sits in good vintage condition, showing wear consistent with its age. This piece comes with box and papers.
