Omega | Flightmaster Ref. 145.036

Omega | Flightmaster Ref. 145.036

Sold Out

Omega introduced the Flightmaster in 1969 as a purpose-built tool for professional pilots, featuring a bold, oversized stainless steel case and an array of aviation-focused complications. The reference 145.036, produced from the early to mid-1970s, is powered by the manual-wind Caliber 911-a movement derived from Omega’s renowned Cal. 861 and developed specifically to add a running seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. This model stands out for its independently adjustable 12-hour GMT hand, internal rotating bezel, and multi-colored crowns and pushers designed for quick, intuitive operation in the cockpit. The Flightmaster’s robust case, cut from a single block of steel and engineered for comfort, was also tested under extreme conditions, including space training with Soviet cosmonauts. The 145.036 is distinguished by its high-visibility dial, heavy-duty O-ring crystal system, and increased water resistance, making it one of Omega’s most technically advanced chronographs of the era.
