The Omega 2445/3 from the early 1950s showcases Omega’s automatic winding technologies with its Caliber 354 bumper movement. Its 32mm yellow gold-filled case presents a polished, mid-century look. Known for its distinctive bumper rotor, which swings (bumps) back and forth rather than rotating fully, this mechanism provides a unique tactile experience not found in later automatic movements. This compact, understated piece captures a transitional moment in Omega’s evolution, appealing to those who value both classic Omega design and mechanical intrigue.

Notes

This Omega features a 32mm yellow gold-filled case in overall good condition. It exhibits normal scratches throughout, with some small material loss on the edges of its lugs, the tip of its crown, and deeper lines on the edge of its pie-pan style case back. Its black dial is clean, presenting a textured finish with a very faint grey hue. It sports gold applied indices and a gold handset that has experienced some darkening. This piece is powered by a 17-jewel automatic bumper movement and is fitted with an aftermarket brown reptile leather strap and a generic gold-colored buckle that is slightly wide. Its crystal is in good condition, though it shows some light scratches. Overall, this Omega sits in good vintage condition, showing normal wear consistent with its age.
