Jaeger-LeCoultre’s triple calendar watches from the 1950s are regarded as some of the most elegant and technically refined calendar wristwatches of the era. The reference offered here, in 18 karat rose gold and powered by the manual-wind Caliber P484, showcases the brand’s in-house approach to both movement and case production. The triple calendar complication—displaying day, date, and month—was a hallmark of postwar Swiss watchmaking, and Jaeger-LeCoultre’s execution is particularly noted for its balanced dial layout and subtle case details. With a 36mm case, this example is generously sized for the period and features a silvered dial with small seconds, offering a classic yet practical complication from one of Switzerland’s most storied maisons.

Notes

This Jaeger LeCoultre features a 36mm pink gold case that sits in overall good condition. It shows light scratches throughout, most notably with a present scratch to its case back. There is some visible oxidation to its bezel at around 11 o’clock and 6 o’clock, between its teardrop styled lugs. Its silvered dial is clean, with some small marks present to its dial surface and inside it small-seconds. It sports applied hour markers, dauphine hands, and a red-tipped pointer date hand. This piece is powered by a 15-jeweled manually-wound movement and is fitted with a brown genuine alligator leather strap and gold colored buckle. Its crystal sits in good condition. Overall, this Jaeger LeCoultre sits in good vintage condition, showing wear consistent with its age.
