Heuer, founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer, has a rich history in precision timekeeping and sports timing. The collaboration between Heuer and Abercrombie & Fitch began in the 1940s, with Heuer producing watches for the renowned American retailer. This partnership resulted in several unique and highly sought-after timepieces, combining Heuer's watchmaking expertise with Abercrombie & Fitch's adventurous spirit and clientele. The Model 348 is a prime example of this collaboration, featuring a robust chronograph movement in a sporty yet elegant design.

The case sides and lugs retain their original brushed finish, with minor scratches visible upon close inspection, particularly on the case back. The dial is in excellent condition, featuring a clean white background with a subtle patina that adds to its vintage appeal. The lumed indices and hands remain well preserved. The chronograph pushers and crown are fully functional and exhibit only slight wear. The movement, a gorgeous manual Valjoux 71 with 17 jewels, is running well at the time of listing but has not been bench-tested for precise accuracy. This piece does not include its original box or papers.
