Heuer created the Seafarer for Abercrombie & Fitch as a specialized tool watch during the 1950s and 1960s, targeting the retailer’s adventurous, outdoors-focused clientele. This model uniquely merged a classic chronograph with a tide indicator, making it especially practical for sailors and coastal explorers by allowing them to track tidal movements alongside standard timing functions. This example is the rare First Execution 2446C, distinguished by its original silvered lumed hands—a hallmark of the earliest series. The "C" in its reference notes the use of its original Autavia stainless steel snap back compressor case. Offered here to a public market for the first time since it was sold new at Abercrombie & Fitch, this is a one-owner watch, adding significant provenance for collectors of vintage Heuer and purpose-built chronographs.
